Pastor Jim – August 14, 2014

“God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say ‘Thank you?'” – William A. Ward. I received this quote last week via email and it struck a chord in my heart.

I have often wondered why is it so difficult to stop and just be thankful? I know that life is hard and there always seems to be something happening that tries to drag us down.

However, William Ward makes it abundantly clear – there are 86,400 seconds in a given day; why not use just one of those seconds to stop and say,”Thank you?” Yet, I am also reminded that sometimes our tanks get low on fuel. I am not talking about our vehicles. I am talking about our spiritual tanks becoming empty and sometimes we try to run on just fumes!

This Sunday morning, we are going to pose the question: “Is your spiritual tank empty – and if so, isn’t it time for a fill up?”

I hope to see you this Sunday! Who knows, you could walk out with a full tank of spiritual fuel!
