Pastor Jim – Own Your City
It’s time to pull out our coats and sweatshirts! The trees are full of color and the temperatures are falling.
This past week, our staff spent three days together at a prayer and fasting retreat. It was a great time to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. We had the chance to spend quality uninterrupted time with Jesus. We also had the chance to sit under the teaching of Jack Hayford – long time pastor at The Church on the Way in Van Nuys, California. What a time of refreshing it was for each one of us!
Pastor Andy did a phenomenal job last Sunday in talking about “Owning our Block.” His big question to each one of us was, “Do you love your neighbor?” In fact, he even went so far to ask, “Are we good neighbors?” Loving our block means to love our neighbors – followed by action.
This week we are blessed to have Eric Samuel Timm speaking to us on the topic of “Owning our City”. As you all know, Eric is a very gifted communicator and he always brings surprises to our Sunday morning adventure!
Eric loves the city of Rochester and he is going to challenge us with some ways on how we can impact this city with the love of Jesus Christ!
The church board has chosen October 5th as Pastor Appreciation Sunday. Thank you for loving your leadership.
I hope to see you Sunday morning. Who knows, it could change your life for eternity!
