Pastor Jim – A Better Season
I am not sure that we Minnesotans know how to handle these incredibly sunny days!
A guy by the name of Gustav Mahler said it best: “Spring won’t let me stay in this house any longer! I must get out and breathe the air deeply again.”
It seems that the playgrounds have come alive with kids as well. The dogs now have the ‘green light’ to go on walks with their owners and even the paper boy/girl is no longer asking their parents to drive them around the neighborhood to deliver the papers!
Steve Southerland said, “I believe in process. I believe in four seasons. I believe that winter’s tough, but spring’s coming. I believe that there’s a growing season. And I think that you realize that in life, you grow. You get better.”
How true it is that each one of us has the opportunity to grow, in this life that we live. Spiritually speaking, each one of us must ‘feel the tug’ to become more like Christ.
That’s why we are doing this BULLS-EYE series! We must keep focusing on making
Jesus the Lord of our life!
How are you doing with your ‘take-home’ from last Sunday? Each of us were challenged to write down 10 names to pray for this week. I can only imagine how much God is doing by his Holy Spirit with each of these people you are praying for!
This Sunday we are going to look at the topic of “SHARING OUR FAITH WITH OTHERS.”
The title of the message is “Go.” The passage of scripture is found in Matthew, chapter 28 – also known as “The Great Commission.” If you get the chance, read the section that talks about “going” and “making disciples” of all people!
I am really excited to see what the Lord does this Sunday morning.
Who knows, it could change your life for eternity!
