“When the sun is shining I can do anything; no mountain is too high, no trouble too difficult to overcome”. Wilma Rudolph
There is nothing like the warmth of the sun shining down on a person! It looks like this weekend we will be experiencing a warm up! Bring it on!
Likewise, there is nothing like the “Son” Jesus Christ shining down and warming our souls! I challenge you to take a few minutes this weekend and soak up both the Sun and the Son!
This Sunday we are going to continue with the story of Jonah. Last week we learned that Jonah chose to disregard the voice and commands of God through out-right disobedience! We also learned that Jonah set sail on a ship in the opposite direction only to learn “You can’t run from God!”
This weekend, we will dig deeper into the account of the big fish and Jonah’s three days in the belly of a whale! When you are in the belly of a fish, it is total darkness and you have no power or control to change the situation!
Some of us can relate with Jonah because we may be experiencing a severe dark time in our life right now. I have good news for you, Jonah had only one option and that was to pray! The good news is that there is power in prayer!
I hope that you will be able to attend church this weekend. Who knows, it could change your life for eternity!
