Small Group Ministry
Known as “R Groups,” our small group ministry provides great opportunities for adults to build lifelong relationships and to grow spiritually with others by their side. R Groups meet all around the Rochester area in homes and businesses, as well as at our church facility.
To join an R Group contact Pastor Mike Stehr at email@example.com
Our Short Term Small Groups campaign is an annual boost to the R Groups ministry. These groups are designed to meet for up to six sessions. In many cases the group will make a decision to continue meeting and become a permanent part of our R Group family.
FALL R GROUPS LAUNCH
Our fall R Groups launch is highlighted by Sunday morning services with an emphasis on R Groups, and an R Group fair in the gathering area where every group displays some fun and informational material.
The Short Term Small Groups launch occurs simultaneously with the R Groups launch. Every new and existing Short Term Small Group leader is encouraged to join the other R Group leaders in the gathering area for registration.
Opportunities to Serve:
BECOME AN R GROUP LEADER

Discover YOUR GIFT
There is no better way to discover your ministry gifts and passions than in the context of a small group of believers. In Acts 2:42-47 we see the local church truly functioning like a small group. At Rochester Assembly, we strive to model this Acts 2:42-47 dynamic. The best part about this concept is that anyone and everyone can contribute something of value to the small group.
Here are just a few examples of how your gift can be used in small groups: you can host a group in your home, organize prayer needs, start a blog or Facebook group, take pictures, capture video, cook, give rides, plan events, meet and greet visitors, follow up with new people, visit members, arrange trips, organize outreach events, set up missions events, and much more. You can bake, sew, fish, build, fix, make, and do almost any other hobby or skill and find a use for that in the life of a small group.
At Rochester Assembly, we do much more than two meetings per month – WE DO LIFE TOGETHER!
