Pre-kindergarten Children (0-5 years old):
Our ministry to children under the age of five exists to bring comfort, love, and security to them as they begin their walk with Jesus. They will have multiple opportunities to play and learn with other children through Bible stories, crafts, play time, and special activities.
Sunday Service Childcare: Every Sunday morning, Rochester Assembly provides not only childcare, but opportunities to learn from the Bible and grow in relationship with other children and God. Childcare is available for all three services: 8:00 AM, 9:30 AM, and 11:00 AM. Guests are requested to arrive early in order to register children at the Children’s Welcome Desk. If you are parent or a volunteer and you want to view the updated schedule to serve in the kids wing please click here.
Lil’ Sprouts Sunday School: Every Sunday morning at 9:30 AM, children gather with their teachers to learn from the Bible in creative ways. Along with Bible stories, there are planned times for craft activities, play time, snacks, and music. Each age group has consistent teachers in order to create a secure and familiar atmosphere.
Wednesday night Childcare: Every Wednesday throughout the school year. Childcare is provided for children under the age of two. This service is provided for parents who attend or assist with other ministries in-house.
Wednesday night Rainbows Class: Every Wednesday night from 7:00-8:15 PM, girls and boys between the ages of 2½-5 gather for specific age-appropriate classes. The Rainbows ministry strives to teach Biblical truths and impact children through crafts, music, scripture memorization, and other fun activities.
Grade School Children (6-12 years old):
Sunday Morning Kids’ Church: Every Sunday morning during the 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM services, children in kindergarten through sixth grade gather in a large room to learn Biblical truths through singing, games, multimedia and other fun teaching methods designed by Pastor Reed Cape and his team.
Elementary Sunday School: Every Sunday at 9:30 AM, children in kindergarten through 6th grade gather in small group settings to be taught Biblical lessons. Rochester Assembly uses Gospel Publishing House curriculum for all the elementary-aged classes.
Kids’ Family Night: Kids’ Family Night is not only a fun opportunity for children, but also for the whole family to grow together. Families with children ages 12 and under interact and enjoy great fellowship with each other. The events are always FREE and always FUN. They are a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to join in a dinner and/or snack, fun family activities, and entertainment as provided.
Royal Rangers: Every Wednesday Night from 7:00-8:15 PM, boys and young men in grades K-12 gather for the Royal Rangers program, an activity-based, small group church ministry. Our mission is to evangelize, equip and empower the next generation of men to be Christ-like and lifelong servant leaders.
MPact Girls: Every Wednesday Night from 7:00-8:15 PM, elementary aged girls gather for Mpact Girls Club. Mpact Girls Clubs provides an environment of support and accountability, while helping girls to develop their gifts and abilities. In addition, girls build lifelong relationships with mentors who encourage girls to be spiritual leaders.
Kids Ministry Team: This is a great opportunity for children, aged eight and up, to participate in ministry. The goal of the Kids Ministry Team is to teach children multiple ministry techniques for use in Kids’ Church, places like the Ronald McDonald House, and other churches. They also compete once a year at a regional ministry competition. For more information contact Pastor Reed Cape at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Junior Bible Quiz: JBQ was created and designed to help children develop a love for the Bible and a deeper understanding of the truth in order to guide their lives daily. Junior Bible Quiz offers a fun, exciting way to motivate children to understand the all-important truths in God’s Word. Through cooperative learning, children work together on teams to learn and understand the questions and answers. Then, using cooperative competition, the children meet with other teams for a fun quizzing match. For more information contact Pastor Reed Cape at email@example.com.
